Keanan Eksteen

Special guest on the Beating Hearts afternoon.

Biography

A Cape Town singer-songwriter who works old-school rock ’n roll into something newer and refuses to sit in one genre. "Dixie Clouds" took the number one spot on the Laeveld chart in 2022, picked up playlisting on seventeen South African stations and ran past 400,000 views on KykNet. The FOREVER EP followed, then a thirteen-stop tour through Germany, France and Austria.

His debut album Golden Fever landed in July 2023, alongside a month of European headline and festival dates. He has written with Goldfish — "Sing with me", which he debuted with the band at Kirstenbosch — and in July 2025 played Chemnitz, the European Capital of Culture, with his band.

He opens for Watershed on 21 December. Built for a big stage outdoors, which is what he gets.
