Will Linley

Biography

Will Linley grew up singing with his mother and three brothers in Cape Town, trained classically through high school, and was writing his own songs by sixteen. He was studying International Business at Stellenbosch when the 2020 lockdown arrived; he set himself the challenge of a song a day, started posting fragments to TikTok, and never went back to the degree.

"miss me (when you’re gone)" went to number one on South African radio and platinum in 2021. Deals with BMG and Island followed, then the EP kill all my feelings, "Last Call" past 19 million streams, and his debut album Don’t Cry Because It’s Over in 2025. He has headlined sold-out South African tours, played the main stage at Rocking the Daisies, toured Europe alongside Matthew Mole, and opened for OneRepublic here at home.

He shared the 28 December bill with Jesse Clegg in 2025. In 2026 the date is his. Upbeat melodies, honest lyrics about being young — and the one afternoon of the summer where the front of the crowd is all under twenty-five.
